This one of a kind program offers free emergency
transportation to people in dangerous or life-threatening
situations by providing them with taxi cab rides to a safe
place such as a local shelter, hospital or police station.
Some situations where callers need this emergency aid are:
- Domestic abuse
- Sexual abuse
- Teen runaways
The Emergency Aid program also provides one-time
emergency prescription assistance for life-sustaining
medications for callers facing financial crises.
This is available on a limited basis for those who
qualify for this service.
DART bus passes are also available to those who need transportation
to a job interview or critical medical or mental health appointments.
All emergency aid services are available by calling one of the help lines.
